Six documents govern the programme, together with the Terms of service and the Privacy policy. All of them are public under "Agreements" in the header and the footer, or at /agreements.
This page is a summary. Where it and the agreement differ, the agreement is what counts.
Every acceptance on the site is kept as a signed copy: the agreement as you accepted it, with the names of the parties, the date and time, the network address and browser it came from, and a fingerprint of the document. Open yours from your account page and print it or save it as a PDF. Acceptances from before 6 October 2026 have their version and date only.
Intern Agreement
For learners. You accept it with the box on the application form, and we record which version you accepted and when.
- The fee. $300, paid once after you are accepted, in US dollars. It covers the course, the AI mentor, the AI review of your capstone and one placement. Nothing else is required.
- Extra placements. Optional: up to 3 placements in all, each extra one at a different business for $50, one at a time. A chance, not a promise. Each extra fee has its own refund rules.
- Refunds. See Refunds.
- Placement. Placements go to approved capstones in the order they finish. We choose the business. We do not promise a particular business, start date or length beyond 1 to 3 months.
- Conduct. Do your own work, post honest check-ins, write to the owner when you need an answer, and never keep a business's passwords or use its data outside the project.
- Confidentiality. You sign the business's NDA before you see anything beyond the brief.
- Who owns what. The business owns the system you build for it and may resell it. You may describe the work in summary on your CV, without confidential details. Your capstone is yours.
- AI. Your mentor and your capstone review are run by an AI model, which can be wrong. Never paste a business's passwords or customers' data into it.
- Business memory. Optional. If the business turns it on, you may connect your agent with a token you create; creating one is your agreement to this part. Keep the token private, use the memory only for that business's project, never copy its contents elsewhere, and what your agent adds belongs to the business. Misusing a token or the memory is covered by your promise to the business; a mistake made in good faith is not.
- Being shown on the site. Off unless you turn it on, after your internship.
- Your promise to the business. You protect the business and us if your own deliberate, dishonest or unlawful conduct, a breach of confidentiality, or work you had no right to use causes a claim. For anything short of deliberate, it is limited to what you paid us. A mistake made in good faith while following the brief is not covered by it.
- Disputes with the business. Only through us: tell us in writing, both sides have 30 days to settle with our help, then a neutral arbitrator we appoint decides, and the decision is final. No court case or group claim against the business. Raise a claim within 30 days of learning of it; a groundless one pays the other side's reasonable costs.
Refund policy
For learners, part of the Intern Agreement (clause 4), on its own page so it is easy to find.
Business Agreement
For businesses. You accept it with the box on the project form.
- Free. Posting and taking part cost nothing, and there is nothing to install.
- The interview. About 15 minutes, up to 3 proposed projects, and nothing is matched until you approve one.
- The interns. Trainees who finished the course and had a capstone approved, guided by an AI mentor. No engineer is assigned by default; the founder can step in.
- What we ask. Up to an hour a month for each intern: read the weekly check-in, give clear answers, approve the work on your dashboard. At the end, an honest written review and a short reference letter if the work was good.
- How many. Up to 5 internships at a time.
- Your data. Sample data where you can. Keep passwords and admin access out of interns' hands.
- Agent access. If you connect an account, the intern's agent gets a token limited to what you tick, every request is recorded, and every message that would leave waits for your approval.
- Business memory. Optional and off unless you turn it on, which is your agreement to this part. It is yours: kept in Germany in a memory of its own, never sold, used for training, shown to another business or added to our library. Turn it off to delete it, backups within 7 days. You promise not to add what you have no right to share; we promise to tell you if anyone reaches it without permission, and our cap does not apply if we misuse it.
- Ownership. You own what is delivered and may resell it.
- The completion fee. $50 for each internship you complete with a written review, paid by hand within 30 days. It is a fee for your time, not income we promise.
- Hiring. Hire the intern directly if you want, with no fee to us.
- Stopping. You can stop at any time and keep what has been built.
- Your promise to the intern. You protect the intern and us against claims that come from your data and accounts, your instructions and approvals, how you use the system after handover, or your breach of a law that applies to your business, such as privacy, email or calling laws.
- Disputes with the intern. The same route as for interns: tell us, 30 days to settle, then a neutral arbitrator we appoint decides. No court case or group claim against the intern.
Disputes with us
Every agreement and the Terms of Service resolve a dispute with us the same way, and only this way: tell us in writing within 30 days of learning of the problem, try to settle it with us for 30 days, and if that fails it goes to online arbitration before a single arbitrator appointed by an independent centre, on written statements, with a video hearing only if the arbitrator asks for one. No court case and no group claim. A claim or defence found groundless pays the other side's reasonable costs.
- Learners and interns (Intern and Contractor Agreements): Indian law, an arbitrator appointed by the Delhi International Arbitration Centre, seated at New Delhi. If your claim is for no more than the fees you paid us, we pay the centre's fees.
- Businesses (Business and Retainer Agreements): the laws of Ontario and of Canada, an arbitrator appointed by the ADR Institute of Canada, seated at Toronto.
- Between a business and an intern: through us, decided by a neutral arbitrator we appoint, online and seated at New Delhi.
Limits of our liability
In every agreement and the Terms of Service, our total liability to any one person or business, across all their agreements with us together, is limited to 25% of what they paid us in the 3 months before the claim. If they paid us nothing in that time, we have no liability to them. The limit never reduces a refund, completion fee or retainer share we owe; those are paid in full. Nothing limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Mutual NDA
Between the business and the intern. When an intern is matched, we fill it in with both names, the business's and the intern's city, the project, the date and the term (2 years after the internship ends), and each side accepts it on their own page before the intern sees anything beyond the brief. Each keeps a signed copy. The public page shows what each field will contain.
Retainer Agreement
Between a business and us, accepted with one button on the "Keep your intern" offer after an internship is completed. Up to 30 hours a month of the intern's work for $750 a month, billed monthly in advance; hours do not roll over. We are the contracting party: the business pays us and we pay the intern. Access only through the gateway, the business owns what is built, our bench backs it up, and either side ends it with 14 days' notice.
Contractor Agreement
Between an intern and us, accepted when the intern takes on a retainer. The intern is an independent contractor, not an employee, paid 80% of each month the business pays, after it pays. Hours logged honestly, at most 4 retainers at once, the bench, confidentiality, and tax is the intern's own. A retainer is a chance, not a promise.
Terms of Service and Starter
The Terms of Service, at /terms, cover the whole site. You agree to them with the box on the Start free form. They say that Starter is a free account: it needs no application and no payment, gives you module 1 and a preview lesson from every other module, and gives no right to an internship placement. A placement needs an application, our acceptance and the course fee. We may change what Starter includes, or close a Starter account that is misused. See Starter: try the course free.
Where to read them
- /agreements lists all of them, with the version of each.
- Each agreement has a "Contents" list down the side, and each clause has its own link.
