The course outline

The public outline lists every module and published lesson with its estimated time, whether it is core or elective, and which lessons a free Starter account opens, before you apply.

The course outline shows every module and every published lesson, in order, so you can see what you would learn before you apply. Open it from "For students", then "The course, lesson by lesson", or go to /course.

What the page shows

The top line counts the modules and lessons and adds up the estimated time. If some lessons have no estimate yet, the page says how many.

Each module has a card headed "Module" and its number, with the module's title and a short summary. Under it is one row per lesson.

Each lesson row

  • The title. Until you are a learner, it links to the application form and shows "Included with the course" under it, with a lock. The lesson itself opens only inside the course.
  • The time. The estimate in minutes, such as "40 min".
  • The level. "Core" or "Elective".
  • What Starter opens. "Free" for every lesson of module 1, "Preview" for the first lesson of every other module, and "Full course" for the rest. The note at the foot of the page says the same.

Core and elective

Core lessons are the course. You finish every core lesson to unlock the capstone.

Elective lessons are optional. They are listed with the course so you can see them, and they never hold up your capstone.

If you are signed in as a learner

The page says "You are signed in as a learner: every lesson below opens in the course." Each title then opens the lesson.

On a free Starter account, the titles of lessons marked "Free" or "Preview" open the lesson; the others lead to the application form.

If the outline is empty

"The outline is being prepared." means no lessons are published yet. "What the course covers" takes you to the summary on the students page.

Next step

At the foot of the page, "Apply now" opens the application form. The whole course opens to you once you are accepted and have paid.

Beside it, "Start free with module 1" opens a free Starter account: the "Free" and "Preview" lessons, with no application and no payment. See Starter: try the course free.

  • How to apply

Apply for free in about 3 minutes, with your Google account or your email. You pay only if you are accepted.

  • Starter: try the course free

A free account with module 1 in full and a preview lesson from every other module, with no application and no payment. Apply later from the same account and keep your progress.

  • The course home and your progress

What the course home shows, how progress is counted (core lessons only), and what the capstone, internship, placements and referral rewards cards tell you.

  • Working through a lesson

The parts of a lesson page (video, reading, figures, what must run, sources), how to mark it complete, how to tell us whether it was clear, and asking the AI mentor.
