Two documents matter for a business: the Business Agreement between you and us, and the Mutual NDA between you and each intern.
The Business Agreement
You accept it with the box "I have read the Business Agreement." on the project form. We record which version you accepted and when, and keep a signed copy: the agreement as you accepted it, naming AI Harness Labs's legal entity, you and your business, with the date and time, the network address and the browser it came from. There is no other place to accept it; the dashboard has no separate step.
Read it any time under "Agreements" in the header, or at /agreements/business. It covers: free to post, the interview and briefs, who the interns are, what we ask of you, how many interns at a time, confidentiality, your data and access, agent access and tokens, ownership, the completion fee, honest reviews, hiring, stopping, limits, and being named on the site.
For a short version, see What the agreements say, in plain words.
If we change it, we publish a new version with a new date and email you if the change affects you.
The Mutual NDA
Each intern and you accept a Mutual NDA before they see anything beyond the brief. The public page, /agreements/nda ("Mutual NDA (template)"), shows in italics what each field will contain.
When an intern is matched to your project, we fill it in: your business's name and city, your name as its owner, the intern's name and city, the project's title and one sentence of the brief, the day of the match, and the term (the promises last during the internship and for 2 years after it ends). Nothing is left blank.
Your project page then shows "Sign the NDA" with the filled document. Read it, tick "I accept this Mutual NDA as" your name, and press "I accept". The intern does the same on their internship page. The card shows where it stands: "Waiting for" the name of whoever has not accepted yet, then "Signed by both". Please share nothing beyond the brief until it says "Signed by both".
Internships matched before 6 October 2026 have no NDA on the site: theirs was signed outside it.
Your signed copies
Every agreement you accept here is kept as a signed copy with the names filled in. Open them from "Agreements you accepted" on your account page ("View signed copy"); for the NDA, both your copy and the intern's open from the project page. A signed copy ends with "Accepted electronically on" the date and time in UTC, by whom and from which network address, the version, and a document fingerprint that changes if a single character of the copy changes. "Print or save as PDF" at the top opens your browser's print dialog; choose "Save as PDF" there to keep a file.
Your data
Whatever the NDA says, give interns sample or synthetic data where you can, and keep passwords, keys and admin access out of their hands. If the intern's agent needs to act on your accounts, connect them on the Agents page instead, where you control exactly what it may do. See Agents: an overview.
You own what is delivered
The code, prompts, configuration, documentation and the running agent are yours to use, change and resell. The intern may describe the work in summary on their CV, without your confidential details.
