What the programme is, for both sides

One programme with two sides: people who learn to build AI agents and then intern, and US businesses that post a real problem for an intern to build.

AI Harness Labs is one programme with two sides. Learners take a self-paced online course in building AI agents and then intern with a US business. Businesses post a real problem, and a trained intern builds a working agent for it.

If you want to learn and intern

You apply for free. If we accept you, you pay $300 once, and the whole course opens. Every plan and what it includes is on the Pricing page.

Not ready to apply? Start free: a free Starter account opens module 1 in full and the first lesson of every other module, with no application and no payment. If you apply later from the same account, your progress carries over. See Starter: try the course free.

The course is online and self-paced, with no deadline. Each module ends with something that runs, and an AI mentor under each lesson answers questions about it.

When you have finished the core lessons, you build a capstone: one agent of your own that does a real task end to end. It is reviewed, and an approved capstone is what earns you a placement.

You are then matched with a US business for an unpaid internship of 1 to 3 months. You build for them with an AI mentor at your side and a weekly check-in with the owner.

The fee covers one placement. If you want more depth, you can add placements at other businesses, $50 each, up to 3 in all, one after another. See Extra placements at other businesses.

At the end, the owner records the outcome and can write you a reference letter and refer you to other businesses.

When the internship is completed, the business can also keep you on a paid monthly retainer through us: 30 hours of your work a month, of which you keep 80%. You can hold up to 4 retainers at once. A job, a contract, a retainer or a referral is a chance, not a promise. Retainers in plain words has the details.

If you run a US business

Posting a project is free and there is nothing to install. You can describe the problem on a form, or take a 15-minute AI interview that proposes projects for you to approve.

A trained intern builds the agent over 1 to 3 months. You read their weekly check-in and approve the work on your dashboard, about an hour a month for each intern.

You keep what is delivered. When you complete an internship with an honest written review of the intern's work, we pay you $50 for your time. It is not income to plan on.

You can run up to 5 internships at a time, and hire or refer the intern afterwards.

At completion, you can keep the intern who built your system on a monthly retainer: 30 hours per month for $750, maintenance included, with a backup from our bench, and you can cancel monthly. We are your contracting party.
