Once your internship is completed, the business owner can refer you to another business in one click. That business gets an email with a link to a page showing your work, and your email address so they can get in touch.
What the other business sees
The referral page shows:
- who referred you, and the outcome of your internship with its dates,
- the brief you worked to,
- how many weekly check-ins you posted, with the latest three,
- your capstone,
- the owner's note and reference letter, if they added them,
- a "Contact" button with your email.
No login is needed to open it.
You are told each time
You get the email "referred you to another business", with the link the other business got and an "Open your internship page" button.
See your referrals
Open "Internship" in the menu at the top and scroll to "Referrals". Each row shows who you were referred to, when it was sent, and whether it has been opened. "See the page they got" opens the same page they see.
Take a referral page down
- Press "Revoke" on the referral.
- Press "Yes, take the page down" to confirm, or "Keep it" to change your mind.
The page and the reference letter link stop working straight away: "Revoked. The page and the letter link no longer work." You cannot undo this; the owner would need to send a new referral.
Limits
Only completed internships can be referred. An internship that ended early cannot.
