Your capstone is one agent of your own that does a real task end to end. An approved capstone is what earns you a placement with a US business. Open it with "Capstone" in the menu at the top.
When it unlocks
The capstone opens once every core lesson is marked complete. Electives are optional. Until then the page says "Finish the course to unlock the capstone", with how many lessons you have done and a button to continue.
What to submit
Pick a task from your own life or work and build an agent that does it end to end. It has to run.
The form asks for:
- "Title", for example the kind of agent and who it is for.
- "What does it do, for whom, and what runs? One paragraph." At least a few sentences.
- At least one of these three:
- "Repository link", starting with https://.
- "Demo video link".
- "Zip of the project (optional, 50 MB max)". A .zip file only.
Press "Submit capstone".
Send a zip if you can. The AI review reads only the files in the zip; it does not open links or run your code. Without a zip, it reviews the write-up alone, and missing code stops an approval.
Never put passwords or API keys in the code. Load them from the environment instead.
How the review works
When the AI review is switched on, your mentor (the AI) reviews it straight away, usually within a few minutes. The page shows "Under review" until then. If it is not switched on, we review it ourselves and email you.
The review checks five things:
- It runs end to end as described.
- The agent is designed soundly: tool use, error handling, retries and timeouts, and approvals or limits around anything it does on someone's behalf.
- The write-up is honest.
- No secrets are committed. A key found in the code always means changes are requested.
- There is a way to check it works: tests, sample input and output, or a written manual check.
We can step in and change the result of an AI review.
Changes requested
The page says "Changes requested" and "A few things before we can approve it", with the review's comments. You also get an email.
- Read every point in the review.
- Make the changes.
- Update the form, which keeps your earlier answers, and press "Resubmit capstone". You can attach a new zip with "Replace the zip".
There is no limit on resubmissions. If you think the review missed something, write to hello@aiharnesslabs.com and a person will look.
Approved
The page says "You are eligible for placement." You are in the queue: we match trainees to business projects in the order they finish, and email you when a project fits. See Matching and your internship page.
