Your agent's access and go-live check

How your agent acts on the business's accounts through the gateway with a token the owner issues, what rehearsal and live mean, the request log, and the QC sheet you can read.

Your agent never holds the business's passwords. It acts on their accounts only through our gateway, with a token the owner issues. While your internship is open, two cards on your internship page show where it stands: "Your agent's access" and "Your agent's go-live check".

Getting a token

The owner connects an account (such as Gmail, a copy-and-paste inbox or a web address of theirs) on their Agents page and issues a token for your agent. They tick exactly what it may do. They send you the token once, privately.

Keep it secret, like a password. If it is lost or leaks, ask the owner to revoke it and issue a new one. We cannot show it again.

Calling the gateway

Under "Accounts and how to call them", each account the owner connected has an address ending in /api/gateway/ followed by its id and the action.

  • Send the token as "Authorization: Bearer" followed by the token.
  • Send the request as JSON.
  • A request held for the owner's approval answers 202 with an id to poll.

Rehearsal and live

The stage line shows one of two stages.

  • Rehearsal. Every draft and every message your agent asks for waits for the owner's approval. Every agent starts here.
  • Live. Drafts go through on their own. Every message that would leave waits for the owner's approval, unless the owner gave a standing permission for it.

If the owner pauses your agent, every request is refused until they resume it.

The tokens and the log

"Tokens" lists each token's name, its first characters, whether it is active or paused, when it was last used, and what it may do, such as "Write drafts for the owner to copy".

"Last ten requests" shows what your agent asked and what happened: "Done", "Done, after the owner approved it", "Done, under the owner's standing permission", "Waiting for the owner's approval", "Failed", or "Refused:" with the reason. Common reasons: "the token was not allowed to do that", "a recipient was not on the owner's list of allowed addresses", or "it touched something the owner said must never be automated".

The go-live check

Before your agent may act without every draft being held, our team checks it against a fixed list. "Your agent's go-live check" shows the result: "Passed" or "Not passed yet", and a score out of 24.

  • Five items are hard fails, such as touching a never-automate rule, a send without an approval path, or never having rehearsed.
  • Twelve items are scored 0 to 2, such as "Every send has a human check", "Retries are bounded", "The handover page exists" and "The intern can explain each decision".

Fix anything marked failed or scored below 2. Ask your mentor if a line is unclear.

"Not checked yet" means the check runs once your agent has rehearsed and the owner has agreed to go live. If your agent goes back to rehearsal after a check, it is checked again.

  • Matching and your internship page

How you are matched with a business after your capstone is approved, and what the internship page shows: the business, the plan, the brief and what must never be automated.

  • The AI mentor chat

Ask the AI mentor under any lesson during the course, and on your internship page during the internship. What it knows, what it will not do, and its daily limits.

  • Weekly check-ins

Post one short update a week on your internship page: what shipped, what is blocking you, and what comes next. Thursday brings a reminder if you have not.
