Weekly check-ins

Post one short update a week on your internship page: what shipped, what is blocking you, and what comes next. Thursday brings a reminder if you have not.

Each week you post one short check-in on your internship page. The business owner and your mentor read it, so they can see where you are and clear what is blocking you.

Post this week's check-in

  1. Open "Internship" in the menu at the top and scroll to "Weekly check-ins".
  2. Write in "What shipped this week, what is blocking you, and what comes next". A few lines is enough.
  3. Press "Post this week's check-in".

The page says "Posted your week" and the week number. The business can read it straight away.

Items and what goes live next

If you have listed what you are building ("What you're building" on the same page), the form also shows "Where each item is now" with a status for each item: "Planned", "Building", "Waiting for the owner's approval", "Live", "Paused" or "Dropped". Change the ones that moved this week. Only the moves that make sense are offered: an item goes to "Building" before it can be "Live".

  • Choose "Waiting for the owner's approval" when something waits on them in Approvals. Their project page links straight there.
  • Choose "Live" only when it is doing real work for the business. The owner reads it as "Live: your agent is doing this now."

"What goes live next (one line, optional)" is shown to the owner as "Next to go live". Keep it to one plain line, in their words.

One per week

A week runs Monday to Sunday, in UTC. The form tells you which week it is, for example "Week 39, 2026".

If you post again in the same week, the button reads "Update this week's check-in" and your new text replaces the old one. The list then marks it "edited".

Reminders

If there is no check-in for the week by Thursday, we email you "Your week" and the number "check-in", with a "Post this week's check-in" button. You get at most one reminder a week.

What to write

  • Shipped: what works now, even if small.
  • Blocked: what you are waiting on, such as access or an answer.
  • Next: what you will do before the next call.

Write for the business. Leave out passwords, keys and customers' personal data. Our go-live check fails an agent whose check-ins contain customer data.

Who reads it

The business owner reads it on their project page, read-only. They reply by email and approve your work on their dashboard. The AI mentor reads your most recent check-ins too, so it knows where you are.

When the internship ends

Once the internship is completed or ended early, the check-ins become read-only and the form goes away.

  • Matching and your internship page

How you are matched with a business after your capstone is approved, and what the internship page shows: the business, the plan, the brief and what must never be automated.

  • The AI mentor chat

Ask the AI mentor under any lesson during the course, and on your internship page during the internship. What it knows, what it will not do, and its daily limits.

  • Your public page and build log

Switch on a public page that shows your progress, capstone and outcome, choose what it shows, and publish short build-log posts checked by the AI mentor.
