Once you have paid for the course, you have a personal referral code: eight letters and digits. Share it with people you know who might want to learn to build AI agents.
Where to find your code
On "Your account" (your email address in the header), under "Refer a friend". It shows your code and your link, which is your code at the end of the site's address with /r/ in front of it. "Copy link" and "Copy code" put them on your clipboard; "Share on WhatsApp" and "Share by email" open a message with the link in it. The message says what your friend gets; it never says what you get.
Only paid learners have a code. On Starter there is no code yet.
What your friend gets
Your friend opens your link, or types your code at the end of any page's address as ?ref= and the code. Upper or lower case both work. The site remembers the code and shows "A friend's referral code is saved" on Start free, the application and the pricing page.
When your friend is accepted and opens their payment page, the referral discount comes off the course fee. The page shows the programme fee, "Referral discount" with the amount, and what they pay. The amount is the one shown on your card; we may change it, and the payment page always shows the amount on the day they pay. If they pay by bank transfer, the same discount comes off.
What you get, and when
When your friend's payment goes through, a reward appears on your course home page, in "Your referral rewards", and on "Your referrals". It is paid only once your friend can no longer get their course fee back under the refund policy:
- Waiting. Your friend can still get a refund. The line says until when: "Waiting: your friend can still get a refund until" a date, and after that "until their internship starts". In the first 14 days after paying, before they finish the second module, they can withdraw for a full refund (rule 4.1). After that, they get their fee back if we cannot offer them an internship within 90 days of their capstone approval (rule 4.2). The course has no deadline, so that can still happen until their internship starts.
- Payable. Their internship has started, so no refund rule applies to their course fee any more (rule 4.3). We pay the reward by hand.
- Paid on a date. We paid it.
- Cancelled: your friend asked for a refund. The moment your friend asks for their course fee back (by withdrawing, or any other refund of the course fee), the reward is cancelled. If we turn the request down, it goes back to "Waiting" and carries on as before. If the refund goes ahead, it stays cancelled.
We check every waiting reward once a day. A refund of an extra placement your friend bought does not change your reward; only the course fee counts.
The amount is the one shown on your card when your friend pays. A reward that has been paid is never taken back automatically.
The rules
- You cannot use your own code, and one person can be referred only once.
- Your friend must use your code before they pay. A code added after paying does not count.
- Only a paid learner earns rewards: if you are not one when your friend pays, that reward shows as "Cancelled".
- If your friend withdraws from the course, the reward is cancelled.
- There is a monthly limit on the rewards one learner can earn; rewards past it show as "Cancelled" with the reason.
On your course home page
"Your referral rewards" shows how many friends signed up with your code, what is waiting, payable and paid, and your latest referrals, each with its status and the line that explains it. "See your referrals" opens the full list.
Your referrals page
"Your referrals and rewards", under your card, lists each friend who signed up with your code: their first name only, the date, where they are (signed up, applied or paid) and your reward. The line above the list shows what is waiting, what is payable and what has been paid to you. You never see a friend's email address or anything else about them.
