Once you are signed in, the guide knows where each of your projects is and shows the one step to take next, with why it is worth taking.
Where you see it
- The "Next:" pill beside the dashboard menu. It names your next step and opens it.
- The panel at the top of your projects page.
- The "Your next step" button at the top right of every page. A dot means there is a step to take.
The steps
- "Post a project or take the AI interview"
- "Approve a project"
- "Confirm the Business Agreement": done when you ticked the box on the project form.
- "Meet your intern on the scoping call"
- "Connect an account and issue your intern's token", once an intern is matched
- "Read this week's check-in", while an internship is in progress
- "Complete the internship with a written review"
- "Refer your intern to another business", after a completion
- "Opt in to the placements listing", after a completion
- "Keep your intern on a retainer", while the offer is open after a completion
Each step has a button to the right page. "Done so far" lists what you have finished.
When it waits on us
Some steps wait on someone else, such as choosing an intern for your brief. The panel then says "Nothing for you to do right now" and what it is waiting on.
"Not now"
"Not now" hides a step for 7 days and pauses the reminder emails about it.
Reminders
If a step stalls, the guide emails you after 3, 10 and 21 days, never more than three times for one step. The subject line is the step's reason.
Ask the guide
Open "Ask the guide" in the panel, type your question or press "What should I do next, and why?", then press "Ask". It knows where you are and can point you to the right help guide. You can ask 3 questions a day; the count resets at midnight UTC.
Help
"Help" at the top right of every page, and "Browse the help guides" at the foot of the guide's drawer, open these help pages.
