Business memory keeps the facts about how your business works that your intern and their AI agent need: what you said in the interview, the project brief, your intern's weekly check-ins, and a one-line note each day the agent reads one of your systems. The agent can recall them instead of asking you the same thing twice. It is off until you turn it on. Open "Memory" in the dashboard menu.
What is stored and what is not
Stored: facts about how your business works, each with where it came from.
Never stored: customer lists, card numbers, raw emails or the records your systems hold. When the agent reads your Square orders or your inbox, memory gets one line such as "looked at Square orders 3 times on 2026-10-07", never what it read. Before anything is saved, names of people, email addresses, phone numbers, card and id numbers and street addresses are replaced with placeholders such as [person], [email] and [phone]. Your business's own name is kept.
Search is by keyword only. Nothing in your memory is sent to an AI service to be searched.
It is stored on a server we run in Germany, in a memory of its own for this business, separate from every other business. It is yours: we never sell it, use it to train AI models, show it to another business or add it to our library. When your intern's agent recalls a fact, that fact goes to the AI model the agent runs on, as with anything else your intern works on under the NDA.
Turn it on
- Open "Memory" in the dashboard menu.
- Read what is stored and what is not, then press "Turn on business memory". Pressing it is your agreement to the Business memory section of the Business Agreement; nothing else in your agreement changes.
- "Business memory is on." The facts from your interview and your brief appear under "What your agent knows" within a minute. Refresh the page if they have not appeared yet.
If you have more than one business, each has its own memory and its own switch.
If the page says "Business memory is not available yet", it has not been switched on for this site. Nothing is sent anywhere.
See, search and correct what it knows
Under "What your agent knows", each fact shows where it came from: "From your interview", "From the brief", "From a weekly check-in", "From your systems (read)", "You added" or "Your intern added".
- Search: type a word or two in "Search facts" and press "Search".
- Correct: press "Correct" on a fact, change the words, press "Save correction". The agent recalls your wording from then on. The earlier wording stays under "Earlier wording".
- Withdraw: press "Withdraw" on a fact, give a reason if you like, and confirm. The agent no longer recalls it.
- Add a fact: write it in "Add a fact" and press "Add to memory".
When you correct a fact on your facts page, or our team corrects the brief, memory is updated too.
Export my memory
Your memory is yours to take with you. Under "Export my memory", press "Export my memory": your browser saves a file named after your business and the day (for example memory-your-business-2026-10-08.json). It holds every fact with where it came from, its status (current, corrected or withdrawn), its earlier wordings and when each changed. Only you can download it; your intern and their agent cannot.
To move it into your own business suite:
- In the suite, open the Assistant app, then "Import a memory export".
- Choose the file (or paste its contents) and press "Send for approval".
- Approve it once in the suite's approvals: every current fact is added. Withdrawn facts stay out. Importing the same file again adds nothing. A later export brings in only the facts added since; a fact you correct here after importing keeps its earlier wording in the suite, so correct it there too.
Your memory here is not changed by an export. If the file has a "notes" entry near the top, some older facts could not be listed: the memory server lists the newest 100 facts per search, and the export searches to reach older ones. Those facts stay in your memory here; search for them on this page.
Your intern's agent
Your intern connects their agent from their internship page with an access token of their own. It can read the memory and add notes; it cannot delete anything. Under "Agents connected to this memory" you see each token with your intern's name and when it expires. Press "Revoke" to cut it off at once. Tokens end by themselves when they expire and when the internship closes.
Turn it off and delete it
- Under "Turn off and delete", type DELETE.
- Press "Turn off and delete memory".
Every fact in this business's memory is deleted and every agent is disconnected. It cannot be undone. Your interview, your facts page and the brief on this site stay as they are. You can turn memory on again later; it starts empty and refills from your interview and brief.
Closing your account deletes your business memory too: ask us at write to hello@aiharnesslabs.com and we delete it the same day.
